Nashat Y. Gabrail, M.D., Inc., doing business as Gabrail Cancer Center (“Gabrail Cancer Center,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and share Personal Data through our website, social media accounts and other online services (together, our “Digital Properties”). “Personal Data” means information that can be reasonably linked, directly or indirectly, to a specific person.
Your medical information. If you are a patient, the health information we create or receive as your healthcare provider is protected by HIPAA. It is covered by our Notice of Privacy Practices, not this Privacy Policy. If the two conflict for your health information, the Notice of Privacy Practices controls.
Clinical research. Clinical trials at our location are conducted through Gabrail Research, Part of PhaseWell Oncology.
Showing interest in clinical trials. You can learn about our clinical trials by filling out a trial interest or screening form, or by scheduling a conversation with Dr. Gabrail and the research team through our online scheduling tool, Calendly. Neither one signs you up for a study. It simply lets the research team answer your questions and see whether a trial might be right for you. Information you share this way is collected by Gabrail Research, Part of PhaseWell Oncology, and governed by the Gabrail Cancer Center Research Privacy Policy. Information you enter when scheduling is also subject to https://calendly.com/legal/privacy-notice.
Enrolling in a trial. Enrolling is separate. If you qualify for a study and decide to take part, you are enrolled only after you review and sign the study’s informed consent form. That form explains how your information will be collected, used and protected during the study.
Taking part is voluntary. You can decide not to enroll at any point, including after talking with the research team, and that decision will not affect the care you receive from Gabrail Cancer Center.
Employment. This Privacy Policy does not cover information about our current or former employees or job applicants
Sharing Another’s Information. If you share another individual’s Personal Information via any of our Digital Properties, you must have permission from that individual, or the legal authority to share their information.
